So, why the name? Well, the name was chosen to reflect the 66 Books of the Bible. As Christians we believe that the Bible, especially the New Testament, teaches us how we should all live our lives here on earth; it's our pathway or route to forgiveness and to eternal life. It's as simple as that. :-) Check it out for yourself by typing in a word with the following Bible search engine . . .

Wimborne Folk Festival . . .
Yesterday we shared an evening of outreach music in Wimborne with our Christian brother and friend, singer / songwriter & guitarist Peter Aston (www.peter-aston.co.uk) and other members of Holtwood Church in Dorset. Peter, (accompanied by flautist Becky) excited the crowds with several of his own compositions while Route 66 shared the platform and played for about thirty minutes. The entire session lasted about three hours and was a good musical witness to the Lord as there were lots of people sitting on the lawns listening, and even more walking around. The four music groups offered a variety of music genres from folk and contemporary Christian music to upbeat blues and rock. It really is wonderful how praising and singing to our God is not limited to any particular type of music. As the Bible says: "Let everything that has breath PRAISE THE LORD!! (Psalm 150: 6)
PS. It's interesting to read the Matthew Henry Commentary about that Psalm:
A Psalm of Praise.
